The man captured by television cameras eating ice cream on the snowy sidelines during Ohio State's win at Minnesota doesn't know what the big deal is. He eats an ice cream bar every single game.
The man, Dan Lehman, makes sure the electronic communication on Minnesota's sidelines is functioning during the games. At halftime, his boss always brings down ice cream – Dairy Queen Dilly Bars on Saturday – and so Lehman has been having one for the past 17 years.
It's just that on Saturday it was snowing. Eating ice cream in the snow isn't a common occurrence for many.

"All for a Dilly Bar!" Lehman said to ESPN.com. "This is absolutely nuts. Nothing like this ever happens."
And no, the temperatures and precipitation didn't bother him in the slightest.
"It’s never too cold for a Dilly Bar," Lehman said. "That’s just one of those things that I’ll enjoy whenever they give it to me."
We agree with Lehman's attitude about ice cream. Ice cream can be eaten in any condition. Except maybe in a sauna. And he has a nickname too – Dilly Bar Dan. Who wants to bet that cameras will find him eating ice cream at Minnesota's first home game in 2015?
