In his second career start at quarterback for West Virginia, Skyler Howard channeled his inner Johnny Manziel in the first half against Texas A&M in the Liberty Bowl.
Howard hit speedy wideout Mario Alford for a 45-yard touchdown in the first quarter and celebrated by doing the “cashing out” sign that Manziel made famous during his time at A&M.
Later on in the half, Howard was leveled by A&M’s Tommy Sanders, who was called for a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty. After the hit, Howard didn’t seem fazed and started jawing with the A&M defenders.
Howard definitely has some Manziel-like swagger in him, that’s for sure.
He threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. The Mountaineers trail 28-27.
