Les Miles wants grads from his high school alma mater to have swag

Les Miles rarely misses an opportunity to inspire — or to be in the spotlight — so while touring his alma mater, Elyria High School in Ohio, and its new $70 million campus on Saturday with some of his former high school football pals, Miles asked principal Thomas Jama if he could say a few words to the 430 graduates who were carrying on the Elyria name.

And one of the things Miles asked the graduates to do during his speech was to show some swag (that's what the kids say, right?)

He urged the 164th graduating class of Elyria High School to "operate with swagger."

"Swagger really means style," Miles said. "I've never met an Elyria High graduate who didn't have style."

Miles knows a little something about style — the hat, the grass eating, this outfit — the man screams swag, ya'll.

Miles did say the customary things that come with a graduation speech, including telling the graduates to "live life like someone is stealing it from you." And, "The reason you are allowed to have success is because someone believes in you and starts you on your way."

It was pretty cool for Miles to take some time out of his weekend to give those graduates of his alma mater a graduation speech they'll never forget. The graduation was even held in the football stadium where Miles was an all-state lineman. However, no word on whether he tried any of the grass on campus to see if it was up to par.
