Former Kentucky running back Fred Robinson is walking tall again after a shrimp boat captain found Robinson's prosthetic leg while fishing off the Gulf of Mexico.
The $30,000 prosthetic had the Kentucky logo and the Wildcat mascot painted on it, which prompted fisherman Matt Willingham to go to the local media and the leg's manufacturer to find its owner using the serial number printed on the leg.
Robinson, who now lives in Florida, said he lost the leg while swimming over Memorial Day weekend and didn't expect it to be recovered.
"I was swimming in the bay and I jump in and I guess at some point in time while I was swimming it sucked my leg off," Robinson told WKYT.com.
Robinson lost his leg during a work accident in 2007. Robinson said he also has two other legs that also have Kentucky designs.
