Former FAU coach Carl Pelini joins Bo Pelini at Youngstown St.

Carl Pelini is back in the college coaching ranks. And he's coaching again with his brother.

Youngstown State announced that Pelini would join the staff as defensive line coach under his brother Bo Pelini, the former Nebraska coach who was hired in December.

Bo Pelini was fired by Nebraska after the final regular season game of 2014, a win over Iowa. Carl Pelini parted ways with Florida Atlantic during the 2013 season amidst allegations of drug use.

According to documents obtained after Pelini left FAU, the university said he was terminated because of a failure to report the conduct of a staff member.

He said the attention he had recently received made it unlikely he'd get back into coaching, though he didn't rule it out. 

Carl was a defensive coordinator at Nebraska under his brother for four seasons before he became FAU's coach in 2012. He's also a graduate of Youngstown State.
