Florida State freshman quarterback De'Andre Johnson has been suspended indefinitely.

According to ESPN, Johnson is accused of punching a woman, an FSU student, at a bar.

Sources say Johnson was involved in an argument with the woman after she cut in front of him while they were waiting to order drinks at a bar near the FSU campus. Witnesses told police the woman raised her arms and then Johnson grabbed them and punched her in the face.

Johnson, from First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida, has not been charged with a crime. Police didn't interview Johnson on Wednesday night because he had left the bar. Tallahassee attorney Tim Jansen, who has represented FSU student-athletes in the past, told ESPN.com on Thursday that he was unaware of the incident.

The ESPN report also states that the Tallahassee Police Department sent the outlet a "heavily redacted" incident report that doesn't include the name of a suspect or witness but includes the woman's name.

If you're familiar with previous reports of how the police department handles allegations involving Florida State athletes, you aren't surprised.

Johnson was a four-star recruit in the class of 2015. He was Rivals' No. 12 dual-threat quarterback.

An early enrollee at Florida State, Johnson earned public praise from Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher in March.

“I thought De’Andre Johnson had a really nice day today – does a lot of things very instinctively, man, I think that guy’s gonna be a really good player,” Fisher said after a March practice via the Orlando Sentinel.

With the transfer of Everett Golson to Florida State, Johnson was a possible redshirt candidate in 2015. Golson is immediately eligible after arriving from Notre Dame. Sean Maguire, Jameis Winston's backup in 2014 who started against Clemson, will compete with Golson for the starting job but it seems likely he'll serve as the No. 2.

The Seminoles also have John Franklin and J.J. Cosentino at quarterback as well. Franklin was a three-star recruit out of high school while Cosentino was a four-star recruit in the class of 2014 and the No. 15 pro-style quarterback in the country.
