Arkansas' Kody Walker will be a Razorback for two more seasons.

The running back was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA. After originally slated to be a senior in 2015, he's been reclassified as a junior.

“We are very excited to have Kody with us for an additional season,” Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said in a statement. “Adversity has defined him throughout his career and he has championed the moment. Every person on our staff and every player in our locker room is pulling for Kody to succeed and we expect him to be a major contributor to our football team these next two years.”

Walker suffered season-ending injuries in 2011 and 2012. He played a combined five games in those two seasons. He had stress fractures in both shins in 2011 and suffered a broken leg in 2012. He changed his number from 40 to 24 after the injuries to as a superstition.

He had 149 yards on 31 carries in 2014.

Walker has played primarily fullback in his Arkansas career and is the projected starter at the position according to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. However, per the Arkansas website, he's transitioning to running back this fall and is expected to vie for carries with Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams. According to HawgSports.com, he served as the team's primary tailback during the spring game as Collins and Williams didn't participate.
