An unlikely coach is credited with a quote hanging from the wall at Oregon's football facility: Urban Meyer.
Yes, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer. The same coach whose team defeated the Ducks in the 2015 College Football Playoff Championship Game.
Meyer didn't say what's on the wall in the lead-up to the CFP title game. It's a quote from 2010, when he was still the coach at Florida. He said it while referencing Oregon's offense, which at the time was averaging nearly 55 points per game while his Florida team was having a (relatively) low-scoring season. 2010 was the first year of the post-Tim Tebow era. John Brantley was Florida's quarterback.
With that context, it's a little less awkward that a quote is on the wall, right?
And besides, just because Ohio State beat Oregon doesn't mean the sign should have to go into hiding. Hell, it can now be used for multiiple reasons. In addition to being an advertisment for the football program's style of play, it can also be motivation to beat Meyer's team if the two programs ever meet again.
