Bret Bielema: The end of Texas game was 'borderline erotic'

Bret Bielema capped off Wednesday's SEC Media Days session, and, well, his quote about the end of the Texas Bowl was worth the wait.

His Razorbacks shellacked the Texas Longhorns to finish 7-6. The Arkansas coach's feelings about watching his team take a knee to end the game? We'll let him explain.

Hilariously, Bielema soon realized his quote was going to be the best of the day.

Arkansas absolutely stifled the Longhorns' offense throughout the game. Though, given the struggles of the Texas offense in 2014, it may not have been all Arkansas' doing. The Longhorns had 59 yards of offense the entire game.

Bielema is clearly in a good mood, and he's got reason to be. His team finished the season with three wins in its final four games, including two SEC wins. They were the first two conference wins of Bielema's tenure at Arkansas.

Now, in Bielema's third year, Arkansas could be a sleeper pick to finish in the top three of the SEC West, especially if they can repeat those wins over LSU and Ole Miss on the road.

"LSU is a special one in my heart just because it was our first SEC victory," Bielema said. "I'd be a liar if I didn't say that won't mean a lot for me for the rest of my life."

He also said he wasn't doing cartwheels after Arkansas' 2014 either, despite the, uh, almost erotic climax to the season.

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier joked Tuesday that both the Razorbacks and Tennessee were overjoyed with their 2014 seasons after bowl wins pushed their records over .500 and inspired optimism for 2015.

"And from day one, Coach Spurrier has been awesome to my wife and I at every event we went to ... I will say this. I'll respect my elders at all points," Bielema said. "I don't think that body is built, no matter how big the shoes, with rockets or not, I could do any cartwheels ... I get it because we were 3-9, and before that we were 3-9. This is a team that was supposed to be up for a National Championship. So I understand the excitement. Because of what they've done on the field and in the classroom, there's a lot of excitement and a lot of buzz. I don't want that to go away. I mean, it's absolutely awesome. But we're in the SEC West. We're a 7-6 team looking to improve."
