Florida State takes team photos with and without Dalvin Cook

Following a July arrest for battery, Dalvin Cook’s status with Florida State remains up in the air. The program made that abundantly clear at team photo day on Sunday.

The Seminoles – Cook included – arranged themselves in the bleachers at Doak Campbell Stadium for a full team photo Sunday morning. After a first team photo was taken, Cook, a sophomore running back, then left his spot among his teammates so a photo could be taken without him.

Brendan Sonnone of the Orlando Sentinel captured the awkward moment.

Cook is accused of punching a woman outside of a Tallahassee bar on June 23 and is indefinitely suspended from the team. Cook has denied the accusations.

FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher said Sunday that the program is still in the process of receiving more information about the incident.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said he can't make a final decision on Cook's status with the team until he gets more information about the battery charge the Seminoles projected starting running back faces.

When Fisher was asked Sunday what he specifically waiting for, the coach responded, "The exact facts of the case and ... the truth."

Cook rushed for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns as a true freshman in 2014.
