Oklahoma offensive lineman Kenyon Frison has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules, Sooners head coach Bob Stoops announced Monday.
Frison, a redshirt freshman tackle, will not participate in preseason practice and has not been with the team “the last several weeks,” Stoops said per the Tulsa World.
The 6-foot-6, 289-pound Frison, a four-star recruit from West Valley City, Utah, took a redshirt in his first season on campus. He was expected to be in the mix for a starting role along the Sooners’ offensive line, which lost two starters.
According to the World, Sooners offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh said that seniors Josiah St. John and Derek Fairniok would be penciled in as starters at both tackle spots if the season were to begin today.
