USC coach Steve Sarkisian said he mixed medication and alcohol Saturday night when he made inappropriate comments at a donor function for the school.
Sarkisian issued an apology for his statements on Sunday. He reportedly used a profanity in front of USC's "Fight On" slogan and said some opponents on USC's 2015 schedule "suck." He was reportedly ushered off the stage by athletic director Pat Haden.

He also said Tuesday that he does not believe he has a drinking problem but will go ahead and seek treatment.

USC has also banned alcohol from its locker rooms. While Sarkisian said alcohol was never allowed in the players' locker room, it had been previously allowed in the coaches' locker room after big wins. He also said that he was not going to drink during the 2015 season.
Quarterback Cody Kessler also said that Sarkisian had apologized to his team.
Cody Kessler said Sarkisian apologized to the team. "I think this brought us closer to together and we support him 100 percent."

Sarkisian, a former USC co-offensive coordinator with Lane Kiffin, was hired as the team's head coach after the 2013 season following Kiffin's firing from the school. USC went 9-4 in 2014 and is considered a strong contender to win the Pac-12 and make the College Football Playoff.
