Never doubt the knowledge of South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier – no matter what the topic may be.
South Carolina defensive end Quandeski Whitlow’s nickname is “Boosie,” based on the Louisiana-based rapper Lil Boosie. During his Tuesday press conference, Gamecocks quarterback Lorenzo Nunez said he didn’t think there was any chance Spurrier knew of the rapper, but the head ball coach is always full of surprises.

Whitlow, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound freshman, had four tackles and a sack in South Carolina’s win over UCF over the weekend.
If he keeps producing like that, maybe Spurrier will add a few Lil Boosie tracks to his workout playlist.
