USC might not have a bowl game to look forward to this season, but it's not letting that dampen its spirit.
During Monday night's end-of-season banquet, athletic director (and former Trojan quarterback) Pat Haden showed up dressed as his head coach, Lane Kiffin, complete with the oversized high-collar jacket and signature white beanie wore in November for the biggest win of his career at Oregon. He even had on the receiver gloves. The only thing we can't see is whether he's wearing the red track pants to complete the ensemble, but it's probably a good bet he is.
While Kiffin took a lot of heat from the fashion police for his white-on-white ensemble, his beanie became one of the hottest selling items in the USC Bookstore. Kiffin actually ended up donating the outfit to the Dan Patrick Show Man Cave.
It's probably been awhile since Kiffin's boss making fun of him was a good thing. But in this case, it seems like it was a good-natured jab and a fitting homage to the upset that put the Trojans back on the national map.
