Texas Tech scores 2-point conversion with left tackle (GIF)

Poor Kansas.

The season is not going well for the Jayhawks. The winless Big 12 team was destroyed by Baylor at home in Week 6. On Saturday, Texas Tech scored a two-point conversion by snapping the ball sideways to its left tackle.

Really. Watch this GIF to prove we're not kidding. Le'Raven Clark, a senior captain, got to dive into the end zone for 2.

That's the old swinging gate play. Many teams initially line up in the formation on the point-after attempt but few rarely attempt the play. And even fewer execute it. But we like Clark's hustle. He clearly knew he had to get tto the goal line and not much further. Kansas was helpless to stop it, and maybe that's why Texas Tech ran it.

While it may seem cruel to run the play against a team you're clearly better than, it's also a chance to try things that may not normally work against better competition. The play is one of the most fun we'll see all year. It's just also impossible to not have any sympathy for Kansas, either.

The touchdown and converson put the Red Raiders up 11-0 on the Jayhawks. Kansas was a 31.5-point underdog entering the game.
