LSU tight end Dillon Gordon likely will miss the rest of the season after re-injuring his left Achilles, coach Les Miles announced during his Monday press conference.
Gordon suffered the injury during the Tigers’ second series of the 35-28 win against Florida on Saturday.
The injury already cost Gordon games against Syracuse, Eastern Michigan and South Carolina and nearly all of the contest against Auburn.
Colin Jeter started in place of Gordon during those contests and will be counted on now to replace one of the team’s best run blockers for the rest of the season.
Miles said he was uncertain whether Gordon would be eligible for a medical redshirt but that the team would investigate it.
