Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin said earlier this week that senior Rees Odhiambo suffered an ankle injury in last Saturday’s win over Wyoming. According to the Idaho Press-Tribune, Odhiambo was scheduled to have surgery on Tuesday and could potentially return for a bowl game.

“I don’t know if we’ll get him back or not,” Harsin said. “Everybody heals differently, so I don’t know. … I hope we can get him back, but more importantly just get him healthy.”

Odhiambo, a senior, has started all seven games for the Broncos this season. He played in 24 games during his first three seasons with the program, including 17 starts.

The Broncos, who improved to 5-2 by beating Wyoming, face UNLV in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Oregon State also lost left tackle Sean Harlow to a season-ending ankle injury. According to the Corvallis Gazette-Times, Harlow went down during the second half of the Beavers’ loss to Colorado on Saturday.

Harlow, a junior, has started 28 straight games for the Beavers, dating back to his freshman season.

Sophomore Will Hopkins filled in when Harlow went down, and Hopkins is slated to get the start when the Beavers (2-5) take on Utah in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
