Wisconsin running back Corey Clement suffered a cut on his hand during an incident at his off-campus residence last Sunday, according to a release by the school.
Clement was walking back to his home when he saw a group of individuals engaged in a dispute with a security guard. Clement went to help and the individuals assaulted both him and the security guard, leaving Clement with a cut hand.
The school did not say whether a weapon was present nor did it note the extent of the injury.
Clement did not practice Wednesday as he continues to rehab from sport hernia surgery. The school did not say whether Clement would miss any time as a result of the cut.
Wisconsin has a bye this week and will host Northwestern next Saturday.
