Reports: Cordell Broadus returning to UCLA as walk on

Cordell Broadus will reportedly be back with the UCLA Bruins when spring practice begins.

The son of the rapper Snoop Dogg left the team before the 2015 season. According to Fox Sports and Scout, he's going to be back with the team when practice commences on March 29, but he'll be doing so as a walk on rather than a scholarship player.

Broadus was a wide receiver in the 2015 recruiting class and a four-star prospect out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. He was the No. 27 wide receiver in the calss and the No. 3 prospect in the state. Snoop is a USC fan and said "We Bruins now" when Cordell committed to UCLA in February of 2015.

When Broadus left the team in August, he said he wanted to pursue his love of filmmaking He stayed at UCLA as a student, which makes his return to the team fairly seamless, even if he's without a scholarship now.

In October, he wrote on Instagram that he played football for his father. He revealed that in a happy birthday message to his dad and said "It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player. The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words; I love you dad hope you have a great birthday."
