The SEC had the largest average attendance in 2015 for the 18th consecutive season.
The SEC averaged 78,630 fans per home and neutral site games last season and six of its teams ranked in the top ten in overall attendance, according to a report by the National Football Foundation.

The Big Ten came in second in attendance with 66,008, followed by the Big 12 (57,347), the Pac-12 (51,880) and the ACC (49,033).
The American Athletic Conference led Group of Five conferences with a single-season conference record of 2,419,994 fans attending home and neutral site games.
While the Big Ten came in second overall, it did set a league record with 6,534,801 fans last season. It was the third consecutive season the conference topped more than six million fans.

Michigan led all teams with 110,168 fans per home game last season followed by Ohio State (107,244), Texas A&M (103,622), LSU (102,004), Alabama (101,112), Tennessee (100,584), Penn State (99,799), Georgia (92,746), Florida (90,065) and Texas (90,035).
