Five more former college football players have filed class-action lawsuits about concussions.

The five players are Wake Forest’s Christopher Burkholder (1996-99), Stanford’s David Burns (1972-74), Boston College’s Glenn Capriola (1974-77), BYU’s Larry Carr (1971-74) and North Carolina’s William Crawford (1978-82). All five players filed suit against their schools and the NCAA while Burkholder,(ACC), Burns (Pac-12) and Carr (WAC) also named their schools’ conferences.

The watch list for the Dodd Trophy, given to the best coach, is out. It contains 24 names and you can probably guess who most of them are before you even click the list. It’s heavily based on preseason expectations and reputation.

Curiously, new Georgia coach Kirby Smart is one of the 24 names on the list. He has a career record of 0-0.

Baylor has a new task force in wake of the Pepper Hamilton investigation.

A 4-star signee for Michigan won’t be enrolling.

Virginia announced two offensive lineman medically retired.

And two players who were signed in the class of 2016 won’t be with the team.
