Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville’s frustration after a 20-3 loss to BYU was evident with the way he reacted leaving the field after the game.

Tuberville responded to a fan who was mad about the outcome too by telling the fan to “go to hell” and “get a job.”

The loss dropped Cincinnati to 4-5 on the season. The Bearcats haven’t figured out how to replicate recent offensive success in 2016 and once-highly touted recruit Gunner Kiel was 19-32 passing for 199 yards and an interception.

In a season that saw the school denied by the Big 12 when the conference said it wasn’t going to expand, it’s no guarantee that Cincinnati will get to a bowl game either. Cincy finishes the season with games against Central Florida, Memphis and Tulsa. The Bearcats could be underdogs in all three of those games.

If Cincinnati doesn’t go to a bowl game it’ll be the first time the Bearcats have gone without one since 2010 — the first year of Butch Jones’ tenure. And 2016 will likely be the second-straight season where the Bearcats’ win total has declined. After two 9-4 seasons to start his tenure as Cincy’s coach, Tuberville’s team was 7-6 in 2015. You can bet Tuberville is aware of that stat.
