Colorado quarterback Jordan Webb will have to serve 20 days on a work crew and two years on probation after an incident with an Air Force cadet in May.

Webb was charged with felony assault, but pled guilty to a misdemeanor third degree assault charge in exchange for the felony assault charge being dropped. Webb was arrested May 11 along with former Colorado offensive lineman Alex Lewis after an altercation with Lee Bussey.

Webb was offered the plea deal because prosecutors felt he had a lesser role than Lewis in the incident.

From the Boulder Daily Camera:

According to a police report, witnesses said Lewis pushed 22-year-old Lee Bussey's head into a brick wall, then both Lewis and Webb pushed Bussey to the ground and began punching him.

Webb told Butler at the hearing that he did shove Bussey, but was only trying to break up the fight.

After transferring from Kansas when coach Turner Gill was fired, Webb threw for 1434 yards, eight touchdowns and eight interceptions. In April, he was sidelined for the season after he tore an ACL in his first spring practice back after hand surgeries and applied for a medical hardship waiver for a sixth season of eligibility.
