There’s no denying this is the weakest college football weekend slate of the season, but it was not without some highlight catches.
North Carolina receiver Eric Ebron hauled in a one-handed touchdown grab from quarterback Bryn Renner. The score (and extra point) gave the Tar Heels a 14-0 lead. However, North Carolina blew that lead and lost to Georgia Tech 28-20.
While Ebron’s one-handed catch was good, Alonzo Russell’s was better.
The Toledo receiver snared a Terrance Owens pass out of the air with one hand for the amazing touchdown. The score and extra point made it 21-7 over Central Michigan and the Rockets rolled to a 38-17.
It’s a good thing these guys made these catches because they made an otherwise pedestrian morning entertaining.
