You don't need a ticket to get in to SMU's game against Central Florida on Saturday in Dallas.
But just be safe getting there. An ice storm has made traveling in the Metroplex dicey and has even led to the cancellation of Sunday's Dallas Marathon. So in hopes of getting as many fans as possible to the game, SMU is opening the game to the public.
Season ticket holders have first right of refusal to their seats, per the SMU website, and the rest of the seating is first-come, first-serve. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. local time for the game that kicks off at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
Central Florida clinched a BCS berth on Thursday night when Louisville beat Cincinnati. The cheapest ticket for the Sugar Bowl, the likely destination for the Knights, is $174.35 on Ticketmaster.
If SMU wins, the Mustangs are bowl eligible at 6-6.
