We don't need to tell you how seriously people take their football in Alabama. So this joke from the Oklahoma City Red Cross doesn't need much set up.
Let's let 'em rip.
The tweet was deleted -- but captured forever at AL.com -- though the organization issued a clarification tweet of sorts soon after that was originally posted.
All in good fun tonight. Great game to both teams. Yes, we do love our friends in Alabama. #OUvsBAMA #SugarBowl

All football jokes aside, we stand with Alabama to be there in the face of disaster and provide relief to those who are in need. — Red Cross Oklahoma (@redcrossokc) January 3, 2014
Thursday's game was the biggest sporting event of the week (sorry Oklahoma State) for both states, so I've got no problem with some Twitter fun. And it's pretty clear that the Red Cross's work that it's done in Oklahoma and Alabama after devastating tornadoes in recent years speaks for itself. If there's a group that can separate a football disaster and a real one, it's them.
Keep trolling, Red Cross Oklahoma. You've set a high standard for Friday night's Cotton Bowl.
