It has been assumed for much of the season that Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel would leave school for the NFL after the season, but as of now, Manziel is still undecided.
Manziel told ESPN’s Brett McMurphy that he wants to talk things over with his family “in the coming days” before making a decision.
“I want to make the right decision that’s best for me and my family,” Manziel said.
Manziel, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound redshirt sophomore, is attending Monday’s BCS National Championship and was even helping ESPN with its pregame coverage.
The former Heisman winner still has two years of eligibility remaining but is a potential first-round pick in May’s draft. Manziel threw for 4,114 yards and 37 touchdowns this season while also running for 759 yards and nine touchdowns.
