Auburn appears to have the undefeated Florida State Seminoles on its heels in the first half of the BCS National Championship game. The Tigers took a 7-3 lead with a Tre Mason touchdown catch, and the much-maligned AU defense are manhandling Jameis Winston and the FSU offense.
And now Auburn has added to the lead with a 50-yard touchdown pass from Nick Marshall to a wide-open Melvin Ray to make the score 14-3.
Jameis Winston and the Florida State offense looks rattled and all of the momentum is in Auburn's favor. It remains to be seen how the Heisman-winning redshirt freshman will respond as the game moves along.
