Even Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron can set aside the Alabama-Auburn rivalry for a night.
As promised, McCarron tweeted out his love for Auburn as the Tigers kicked off against Florida State in the BCS National Championship.
Let's go Auburn!!!!! Bring it back home. I will be rooting for my boys @TreMason21 & @NineORhino wish u boys the best of luck. #RTRWarEagle

McCarron said while in New York for the Heisman ceremony that he was going to be cheering for Auburn in the national championship despite the Tigers beating Alabama to knock the Tide out of SEC and national title contention.
Last month, McCarron’s mother, Dee Dee Bonner, also tweeted out her support for Auburn running back Tre Mason, whom she met while in New York, and said the family would be wearing T-shirts to support Mason in the game.
Of course, McCarron did get some flack for his positivity toward the Tide’s archrival, but the senior quarterback stood his ground.
Listen I will always love Alabama & be a fan but I root for Auburn when they are playing people out of the SEC. #SECPride #thestatefor5? Wow — AJ McCarron (@10AJMcCarron) January 7, 2014
