Many players have mentioned going to Disney World after a big win and many teams have had hometown victory parades. Sunday, Central Florida got to do both at once.
The Magic Kingdom held a Fiesta Bowl victory parade for the Knights, who beat Baylor 52-42 on Jan. 1. The school held a pep rally for the team last week but the party just had to continue.
It's quite the non-descript parade. The highlight is George O'Leary riding in the Grand Marshal's car with Mickey. Wonder what that conversation entailed? After O'Leary, it's a procession of UCF cheerleaders, flag carriers, band members until the grand finale of the rest of the Central Florida coaching staff on a float.
There's also the spontaneous "BCS" chant. And while most of us won't be fondly remembering the BCS era, we don't blame UCF fans for reveling as much as possible in the bowl win and subsequent 12-win season.
