The Longhorn Network is siding with Richard Sherman in his beef with Michael Crabtree

There will be no Big 12 loyalty when it comes to picking sides between Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman and San Francisco 49ers WR Michael Crabtree.

The Longhorn Network retweeted a Sherman post-NFC Championship Game tweet and took his side. The former Stanford player called Crabtree "sorry" and ranted against the former Texas Tech star in a bizarrely awkward postgame interview on Fox.

Sherman sealed the game for the Seahawks by tipping away a touchdown pass intended for Crabtree that Malcolm Smith intercepted.

Why would Texas not like Crabtree? Well, we can take a guess.

In 2008, Crabtree caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Graham Harrell with a second left against the Longhorns. The touchdown gave No. 7 Tech a 39-33 win over No. 1 Texas.

Crabtree left Texas Tech after his redshirt sophomore season, but in two games against the Longhorns he piled up stats that would be impressive in four games. Against Texas he had 19 catches for 322 yards and three touchdowns.

Because of the 2008 loss, Texas lost a three-way tiebreaker with Tech and Oklahoma for the Big 12 South title. Even if the LHN wasn't around then, it's a play the network does not want to be reminded of.
