Peyton Manning had a rough Sunday night. He threw two back-breaking interceptions and had constant pressure in his face all night as the Seahawks defense dominated the vaunted Denver offense in a lopsided Super Bowl.
For Nebraska fans, this brought on memories of another time Manning struggled mightily -- the 1998 Orange Bowl – and the Nebraska Twitter account took it as an opportunity to do a bit of well-executed trolling.
In Manning's final collegiate game, the Cornhuskers -- in what was also Tom Osborne's final game as Nebraska head coach -- dominated the high-powered Tennessee offense and held Manning to just 134 yards passing in a 42-17 win.
Manning was the Heisman runner-up and his Volunteers averaged 482.1 yards per game and 331.8 passing yards per game, but the Cornhuskers’ dominating performance clinched an undefeated season and ultimately clinched a National Title.
