Aaron Murray is very optimistic about his recovery from ACL surgery.

The former Georgia quarterback and SEC all-time leader in completions, yards and passing touchdowns tweeted a picture of himself throwing with a knee brace. Murray tore his left ACL against Kentucky on November 23 and has been preparing for the NFL draft at Athletes' Performance Institute in Florida.

In January, Murray attended the Senior Bowl, even though he wasn't able to participate in any of the on-field activities. He used the opportunity to get to know the coaches and scouts in attendance. He said in Mobile, Ala., that he felt "excellent" and was preparing to throw at Georgia's pro day.

Had he left Georgia following his junior season, he would have been a likely first-rounder. With the knee injury and a loaded 2014 quarterback draft class, there's no telling where he'll end up. If he falls outside the first day of the draft, given his college proficiency and comparable size, it's not too much of a stretch to compare him to a certain Super Bowl-winning quarterback who was taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft.
