River Ridge (La.) John Curtis linebacker Kenny Young has long been linked with the UCLA Bruins, and he made things official by signing with the Bruins on Wednesday. He may be from the New Orleans area, but UCLA has been among his favorites from the beginning, so it's not a huge surprise that he is headed to Los Angeles.

"I saw that it was a great program," Young said. "Jim Mora is a great coach who can help me get to the next level. I think pretty soon they can be national champions."

Young, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker, is ranked as the No. 95 player overall in the country and is the nation's No. 5 ranked outside linebacker. He chose the Bruins over LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Oklahoma State.

Young took an official visit to UCLA on Jan. 31. It was his final visit after taking visits to Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Oklahoma State. Young was a standout at the Army All America Bowl. He is the fourth Rivals100 prospect to commit UCLA joining Jaleel Wadood, Zach Whitley, and Austin Roberts.
