Report: Michigan director of football ops arrested for possible DUI

Michigan director of football operations Jim Minick was reportedly arrested Saturday morning on suspicion of DUI.

Per Fox 2 in Detroit, Pittsfield Township, Mich., police arrested Minick around 2:30 a.m.

From Fox 2:

Police said they believed Minick had been drinking and they asked him to take a breathalyzer. He refused and police said they drew blood and arrested him. He has not been charged and police say it will take up to another week to get toxicology results back.

On Wednesday, Minick released this statement to FOX 2:

"I'm not going to make any excuses. I'll face the consequences of my actions. I regret the difficult position in which this has put my family and my employer."

Harbaugh released a statement Wednesday afternoon that said Minick was indefinitely suspended from his post.

Minick was hired in January when former San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh became the team's coach. He was with Harbaugh when the coach helped two women who were in a car crash on I-94 in March. One of the women who was involved in the accident said she didn't know who Harbaugh is until she was told after he left.
