LSU offensive lineman Jevonte Domond has been reinstated to the team as the outcome of the domestic abuse claim against him is still unresolved.
"He's in position to compete to play," LSU coach Les Miles told reporters via NOLA.com on Wednesday. "We're letting the disposition of whatever entanglement he's involved in run its course. He's not suspended."
Domond was arrested in May on a felony charge as the woman accusing him of abuse claimed she was choked and battered. Domond has applied for a pretrial diversion program and East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore told NOLA.com that the charges were still pending.

“We have spoken with the victim and have spoken with Domond’s lawyers. The matter is pending,” Moore said via the Baton Rouge Advocate.
Last week, Moore decided not to prosecute three members of the LSU football team, including QB Anthony Jennings. The three were accused of unathorized entry into an inhabited dwelling as they allegedly went to retrieve stolen items from another residence.
Given that LSU waited until the charges didn't go through against Jennings and Dwayne Thomas to reinstate him to the team, the act of reinstating Domond with a pending case is curious. Though it wouldn't be surprising if the team was expecting a swift resolution to the case. Maquedius Bain, also accused with Jennings and Thomas, has left the team. Miles said Wednesday that he had actually never reinstated Bain to the team.
Domond was a four-star recruit out of community college and signed with LSU before the 2014 season.
