After making the switch from Nike to Adidas, Arizona State showed off its brand new uniforms a few weeks ago. And on Thursday, the Sun Devils unveiled the “Desert Ice” alternate uniforms they will wear in their season opener.

According to a release from the program, the alternate look “pays homage to the state’s nickname and identity as the ‘Copper State’” and is “inspired” by the school’s pitchfork logo.
The jersey has a copper-colored shoulder pad design along with “polished copper numbers with metallic black outlines” on the jersey and helmet.
The Sun Devils will debut the new look in a neutral site game at NRG Stadium in Houston against Texas A&M on Sept. 5.
