Cardale Jones remains Ohio State's starting quarterback.

Urban Meyer made the announcement late Wednesday afternoon. Both Jones and J.T. Barrett played in the No. 1 Buckeyes' 20-13 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday. The Buckeyes play another MAC team, Western Michigan, in Week 4.

Neither quarterback separated himself from the other in the game. Jones was 4-9 passing for 36 yards and two interceptions before he was pulled for Barrett, who was 11-19 passing for 97 yards with a touchdown and an interception. If Jones struggles against Western Michigan, don't be surprised to see Barrett again.

Jones was the team's starting quarterback at the beginning of the season while Barrett, who started in 2014 until he broke his ankle against Michigan, paving the way for Jones to start Ohio State's final three games of 2014, also saw time in the first two games.

Jones is 26-46 passing for 334 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions through the first three games as the Buckeye offense has struggled at times. Turnovers got Virginia Tech back into the game (and a halftime lead) before the season-opener turned into a blowout win.

The offense wasn't spectacular against Hawaii in week two and many OSU fans were left frustrated in week three. The winning margin against the Huskies ended up being a defensive touchdown by linebacker Darron Lee on a 41-yard interception return.
