Florida will be relying heavily on quarterback Will Grier on Saturday vs. Tennessee.
Per multiple reports, quarterback Treon Harris and cornerback Jalen Tabor have been suspended. Florida coach Jim McElwain confirmed the suspensions Wednesday afternoon.
Harris has made one start at quarterback in 2015. He entered the season competing with Grier for the starting job and was the team's Week 1 starter. Since then, Grier has had the starting gig but McElwain hadn't committed to either QB as his starter for the Tennessee game. Grier played the entire game against Kentucky.
Grier is 39-57 passing for 442 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Harris is 19-27 for 269 yards and two touchdowns. Grier has 114 yards rushing on 19 carries while Harris has eight carries for 55 yards.
Harris started games in the second half of 2014 for Florida in relief of Jeff Driskel. He was briefly suspended in early October because of sexual assault allegations but was reinstated four days later after the accuser's complaint was withdrawn.
Tabor has made two starts for Florida in 2015. He has 10 tackles, four pass breakups and an interception that he returned 39 yards for a touchdown against East Carolina.
