Baylor quarterback Seth Russell had some notable visitors during his recent hospital stay.
Russell had neck surgery for the fractured vertebra he suffered during Baylor's win over Iowa State on October 24. He posted a picture to his Instagram account of some of the people who visited him in the hospital and the list included former Baylor and current Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III and West Virginia QB Skyler Howard (left).
I’m so thankful for all the support shown towards me this past week! Big shout out to my family for being present during the whole process, as well as to WVU’s QB @skylerhoward3 & @rgiii & his family for stopping by. Also, thank you Baylor Nation for all the encouragement! The road may be long, but with God and such a great support system by my side.. I’ll be able to handle anything thrown my way!
Howard would have been in the area when West Virginia traveled to TCU on October 29.
Russell is out for the remainder of 2015 because of the injury but is expected to be ready to play in 2016. He'll be replaced at quarterback by Jarrett Stidham, who will make his first start Thursday night against Kansas State.
