Did Central Florida's J.J. Worton's right hand potentially save the season on Saturday?

Worton made an incredible one-handed catch in the back of the end zone to tie the game late in the fourth quarter against Temple and set the stage for an improbable 39-36 win in regulation.

UCF quarterback Blake Bortles rolled to his left and found Worton open heading towards the end zone with just over a minute left. As he flung the ball to the back of the end zone, Worton corralled it as he was diving to the ground. The ensuing extra point made the game 36-36.

UCF then stopped Temple as soon as the Owls got the ball back and took over with 28 seconds left at its own 30. On UCF's first play, Bortles hit Rannell Hall for 64 yards to the Temple 6, which set up a chip shot field goal for Shawn Moffitt as time expired for the win over the now 1-9 Owls.

The win also means that Central Florida stays a game ahead of Louisville and Cincinnati for the American Athletic Conference lead and an Orange Bowl berth. And while UCF has the tiebreaker over Louisville and doesn't play Cincy, it would not been an even bigger mark of shame against the AAC if its Orange Bowl representative had fallen to Temple.
